Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN with medical-surgical telemetry or PCU experience for a 13-week contract at a community teaching hospital in High Point, NC. You will work a 12-hour day shift (0700–1900), 36 hours per week, with every other weekend rotation and no on-call requirements.

The unit utilizes Epic EMR, and nurses have telemetry tech support and 24/7 respiratory therapy; BLS/ACLS/NIHSS are required, with NC/Compact licensure and at least 1 year of PCU/telemetry

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical telemetry or progressive care experience required
• Skilled in cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, rhythm interpretation, arterial line management, drip titration, and non-invasive ventilation care
• Experience with post-procedure site care (transradial bands, femoral sheaths, post-EP pacemaker/ICD, post-thrombectomy) preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
