Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an IMC/Stepdown Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of acute telemetry experience and Epic proficiency.
- IMC (Intermediate Care/Stepdown) unit within a teaching hospital setting
- Cardiac telemetry patient population requiring continuous monitoring
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00pm-7:30am
- Schedule includes Monday-Friday rotation with every other weekend and some holidays
- 4x12 Thursday-Sunday schedule option available for interested travelers
- Floating required as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active RN license (WI or Compact)
- BLS and ACLS certification required through AHA only
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown and telemetry experience required within the last 3 years
- Epic charting system experience required, with experience within the past 12 months preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to starting the assignment
- Provide cardiac telemetry monitoring and care for stepdown-level patients
- Responsibilities may include IV therapy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Skills in respiratory care such as BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management are utilized
- Experience with cardiac drip titration and dysrhythmia management is valued
- Located at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital ranked among the top in the state
- Must complete a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, allowing up to two attempts before additional training is required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- First-time travelers are not being considered for this role due to travel experience requirement
