Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring a PA or Compact license, 2+ years of experience, and Cerner charting proficiency.

Details

• Work on a Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Rotating day (7:00-19:30) and night (19:00-7:30) 3x12-hour shifts, typically 3 weeks of each within a 6-week schedule based on unit needs
• Every other weekend required
• Float required
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Skilled in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac drip management
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration preferred
• One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-level nursing care including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and respiratory support
• Must complete PA fingerprinting and ChildLine registration within 48 hours of contract signing
• Must complete lab work within 72 hours of signing contract
• Scrub color requirement: navy blue or white
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to be eligible for travel pay rate
• Previous perm or per diem employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
