Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a nurse supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities in our facility while on duty, ensuring adherence to Long Term Care and Federal/state standards. You will direct staff, monitor care quality, and coordinate with the Director of Nursing to maintain patient safety and comfort.

Ideal candidates hold an active Montana RN license (or compact state), are physically capable, and fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Must have current Montana RN license or compact license from a qualifying state.
• Must be in good physical and mental health to sustain extended nursing duties.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Professionalism: Engage in conduct reflecting high nursing standards.
• Communicates a positive, professional image of the nursing department and institution.
• Arrives at work punctually and maintains scheduled hours.
• Maintains proficiency in nursing care through continuing education and in-service programs.
• Assures confidentiality of patients, physicians and staff.
• May function as Charge Nurse, Medication Nurse and/or Emergency Room Nurse as needed.
• Delegation and coordination to ensure optimal patient care and smooth operations.
• Oversees and evaluates patient care through rounds and staff supervision.
• Facilitates patient discharge, transfers and admissions.
