Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (Traveler) for Inpatient Surgical Post-Op care at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA. This 14-week temporary role is a Day shift and requires 2+ years of RN bedside Stepdown/IMCU experience with ACLS/BLS/NIHSS and EPIC experience.

The RN delivers nursing care per standards, supports patient education, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams. Competitive compensation and extensive benefits accompany this assignment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of RECENT RN bedside STEP DOWN / INTERMEDIATE CARE UNIT EXPERIENCE in INPATIENT SURGICAL or MED/SURG.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• EPIC documentation system experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Meet specialty requirements as defined by unit standards.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure safe patient care and documentation.
