Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a hospital float across med/surg and stepdown. Nights, 14-week traveler at $75/hr.

Must have at least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in med/surg, tele and IMCU; active Virginia RN license; ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. The RN provides nursing care using the nursing process, collaborates with the care team, and supports quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in a hospital on med/surg, tele and IMCU.
• Active Virginia RN license to practice.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and admit patients and perform rounds checks.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Communicate with families and coordinate patient care.
• Provide overall nursing care across med/surg, tele and IMCU as part of float duties.
