Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down/Telemetry position. Prior travel nursing experience is required, along with an active WA license and current BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications.

Candidates will join a night shift 3x12h schedule (1830-0700) on a Step Down unit, with patient loads 1:3-4, and Epic EMR charting. Travel accommodations and licensure support are offered. Applicants should have 2+ years in stepdown/telemetry, be comfortable floating within the health

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Step Down/Telemetry.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Two professional references from the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisor.
• Full 7-year work history with any gaps explained required for consideration.
• Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Step Down unit within a hospital setting.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 1830-0700.
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Floating required within the health system as operationally necessary.
• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care needs.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support patient and family-centered care.
• Document patient care according to established standards within Epic.
• Direct and delegate care to team members based on their competencies.
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted.
• First-time travelers are not accepted; prior travel experience is required.
• Previous PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• RTO must be disclosed and approved prior to contract signing, with limited days available depending on offer type.
• Candidates without an active WA license must provide proof of application, and should anticipate a possible start date delay of up to 8 weeks while licensure is processed
