Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients with anxiety, bipolar, personality, PTSD, psychotic, and trauma-related disorders.
Work in Behavioral Health unit within a psychiatric hospital setting.
Maintain patient safety and de-escalation as needed.
Document patient care in charting system where applicable.

American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a 2nd shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience and a CT or compact RN license.

Occasional weekend coverage, primarily Monday-Friday schedule
Patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7 depending on acuity
No floating requirements
No on‑call requirements

Additional Information

Experience in treatment settings such as child/adolescent, eating disorders, forensic, geriatric, inpatient, locked unit, and medical/psych preferred
