Job summary

Good Samaritan in Blackduck, MN is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide individualized care to residents within a Christian not-for-profit environment. The RN will use the nursing process across all care phases, coordinating with families and an inter-disciplinary team.

Requirements include a nursing degree from an accredited program, an active RN license in the state, and a minimum 18 years of age. Travel to nearby locations within 75 miles is required.

Qualifications

• 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred).
• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; Bachelor Degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the state of practice; multi-state licensure acceptable if in NLC state.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Collaborate with resident and family, and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate care, resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within scope and competence.
