Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel RN for the PreOp/PACU role in Washington, DC. This 13-week assignment offers 40 hours per week, days, and travel benefits within a supportive clinical team.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of Pre/Post-Op RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS; ACLS/PALS are preferred. This travel opportunity includes full benefits and ongoing clinical support.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Pre/Post-Op RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
• ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC) preferred
• PALS (AHA/ARC) certification preferred
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Responsibilities

• Assess patients pre-operatively, including reviewing medical history and identifying risks
• Prepare patients for surgery and educate them on procedures and post-operative care
• Assess post-anesthesia condition and transfer patients from the operating room
• Monitor post-operative patients for complications and manage pain and recovery
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocols
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and recovery progress accurately
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure comprehensive care and plan
• Participate in patient handoff communications to ensure continuity of care
