Job summary

MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center is seeking experienced RN travelers for the FirstChoice mobile staffing program. RNs will float across hospital locations and regions, providing high-quality care with independent practice within their licensure.

Night shifts and flexible assignments support a premium-pay, travel-friendly model. Ideal candidates hold an RN license, possess 18+ months in Med Surg/Tele/PCU (or 2+ years in other specialties), and maintain ACLS/TNCC/PALS with BLS.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in applicable state(s).
• 18+ months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• 2+ years of recent clinical experience for specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, ED and Behavioral Health.
• Credentials required per specialty (e.g., ACLS, TNCC); BLS, ACLS and PALS via American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float across hospital and/or multiple locations/regions.
• Demonstrate standard elements of professional nursing practice: Assess, Identify outcomes, Plan, Implement, Evaluate.
• Act independently within license, scope of knowledge and experience.
