Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit in Missouri on the night shift. You will care for patients in an 18-bed PCU with 60 staff and a 4:1 patient ratio, performing post cath lab care and drip titrations using Meditech EMR.

ACLS, NIHSS, BLS and a valid MO license are required, with at least 1 year PCU experience and no major gaps in work history. Weekly weekends and no on-call requirements are noted. Housing and travel reimbursements are included.

Qualifications

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
• Two professional references required for Missouri assignments

Responsibilities

• PCU North unit within the main hospital, 2nd floor
• 18-bed unit with 60 total staff
• Day shift staffing: 1 CNC, 5 RNs, 2 PCTs; night shift staffing: 1 CNC, 4 RNs, 2 PCTs
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Common procedures include post cath lab care and drip titrations
• Uses Welch Allyn vital sign monitors, Alaris IV pumps, EKG, and BiPAP equipment
• Charts using Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule, 7pm-7am
• Works 2-3 weekend shifts per 4-week period
• No on-call requirements
• Provide progressive care nursing to patients recovering from cardiac catheterization and requiring drip titration monitoring
• Grey scrub color required; hoodies not permitted
• Unit recognized for quality awards including Employee of the Month and Daisy Award honors
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
