Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 14-week travel assignment in Omaha, Nebraska. The position requires 36 hours per week, with night shifts and a start date of 09/28/2026.

As a Stepdown RN, you will monitor telemetry, administer cardiac medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, patient-centered care. Candidates must hold an RN license, BLS and ACLS, and have at least one year of stepdown experience.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred PCCN Certification, NIHSS Certification or other certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments focusing on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains telemetry patient safety and comfort.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health, risk factors and lifestyle.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
