Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN PCU for a 9-week assignment in Virginia Beach, VA. The Stepdown RN role targets high-acuity cardiac patients transitioning from ICU to general units.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current RN license
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Monitors cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond
• Administers medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care
• Assists physician during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education focused on cardiac health and lifestyle changes
