Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Denton, TX. The role is a 12-hour night shift with 36 hours per week on a stepdown unit, offering competitive pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN (RN) required.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification is a plus.
• NIHSS certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during cardiac-related procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort for telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Educate patients on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care.
