Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU – Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Raleigh, North Carolina. The position offers 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift and requires an RN license with BLS/ACLS. Preference is given to PCCN/NIHSS certified candidates.

You will join a dedicated clinical team, providing stepdown care to patients transitioning from ICU, with competitive pay and benefits. Start date is 10/05/2026, employment type Travel.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Current RN license in NC in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred PCCN Certification and NIHSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms and telemetry data; respond to abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains telemetry patient comfort and safety.
• Observes patient conditions, documents findings, and notifies supervisor or physician of status.
• Responds to life-threatening situations per nursing standards and protocols.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care.
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice.
• Adheres to safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
