Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Birmingham, AL. This travel position requires 36 hours per week across 12-hour day shifts, offering competitive pay and full benefits through a dedicated clinical team.

As a Stepdown RN, you will monitor patients transitioning from ICU, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes in a dynamic travel environment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during cardiac procedures and examinations.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observes patient and notifies supervisor/physician of status and response to interventions.
