Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU – Progressive Care Unit for a Lima, Ohio assignment. Comprehensive benefits, competitive pay, and strong support from a dedicated clinical team are provided. This 13-week travel role requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour nights.

Required: 1 year Stepdown RN experience, RN license, BLS and ACLS. Preferred PCCN/NIHSS certifications plus other valid licenses may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and vital signs to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Assist physician during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiate patient education plans focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care.
