Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Temple, Texas. This role requires an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and at least two years of bedside experience, with a 13-week assignment and 36 hours per week on day shifts.

The PCU RN will provide high-quality care, perform comprehensive assessments, coordinate plans with the care team, and support discharge planning and patient education in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification (CIRH only) preferred or required.
• Minimum two years bedside clinical experience.
• Relevant education or certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care in a PCU setting and perform comprehensive patient assessments.
• Coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary team and ensure patient safety.
• Document patient conditions and care plans accurately in the medical record.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education from admission.
• Demonstrate professionalism and participate in ongoing education and team activities.
