The role involves managing patient care responsibilities in alignment with unit standards, applying cardiac drip therapy knowledge, and communicating effectively with patients and the interdisciplinary team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift (12 hours), with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  - Basic Life Support (BLS)
  - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  - Cardiac drips knowledge (Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, Cardizem)
  - Accountability for their actions
  - Ability to communicate effectively with patients and the interdisciplinary team
• Preferred Qualifications:
  - 6 months of PCU experience
  - Experience working with Meditech (EMR)
• Responsibilities:
  - Provide bedside care and support for post‑operative and post‑procedural cardiovascular patients
  - Manage and administer cardiac drip therapies
  - Support unit workflow with a focus on teamwork and patient communication
  - Assist with typical bedside procedures applicable to PCU care
• Additional Information:
  Unit care includes post‑CABG and post‑valve procedures, LVAD support, immediate post‑VATS care (including chest tubes), post‑vascular surgical care, and pre/post catheterization and electrophysiology procedures (including pacemaker/AICD, heart caths, PCIs, and TAVR). Bedside procedures may include paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC insertion. Weekend coverage includes 4 weekend shifts in a 4‑week schedule.
