Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The role emphasizes caring for patients transitioning from acute to progressive care with telemetry monitoring and critical nursing interventions.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; detect abnormalities and respond
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
• Observes patient status; notifies supervisor or physician of cardiac status and treatment response
• Responds to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocols for cardiac emergencies
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle changes
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry patient care
• Maintains confidentiality of patients and clients
• Performs other duties within scope of practice
• Follows hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
