Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Boston, Massachusetts. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and be prepared to work 12-hour nights for a 13-week assignment at 36 hours per week.

Benefits include weekly pay and other perks. This position emphasizes bedside care, monitoring of cardiac patients, and ability to handle high-paced environments while maintaining quality patient

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required or to be obtained before assignment.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
