Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Boston, Massachusetts. The assignment is 13 weeks long, with 36 hours per week and 12-hour rotating shifts in the PCU. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of acute care experience and holds ACLS and BLS certifications.

The PCU RN will monitor cardiac patients, manage complex medications, and respond to emergencies. This is a travel position with benefits and weekly pay as described by TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required for the assignment.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
