Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Yakima, Washington. This position starts 10/19/2026 for 13 weeks with 36 hours weekly on a 12-hour night shift.

PCU RNs provide close monitoring and frequent assessment, manage meds and IVs, and may be called a step-down nurse. ACLS and BLS certifications with 1–2 years acute care experience are required.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required for PCU travel assignments.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer and document prescribed medications and monitor reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
