Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Spokane, Washington. The PCU unit cares for patients who require close monitoring but aren’t unstable enough to require ICU care and uses cardiac monitoring equipment.

As a PCU Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform bedside care, IV starts, dressing changes, medication administration, and continuous monitoring.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1 year of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications with monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays to detect changes and intervene.
