Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN for the PCU - Progressive Care Unit in Wheeling, West Virginia. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts and day/night rotation, in an acute care setting focused on intermediate care needs.

The nurse will float within telemetry and medical-surgical units, manage patients with chest pain, arrhythmias, and post-procedure recovery, and participate in a hospitalist/ intensivist covered environment 24/7. ACLS/BLS required.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in good standing.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in progressive care or related unit.
• Must be within 50 miles of Wheeling, WV.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for Step Down/PCU patients with cardiac conditions.
• Perform patient assessments and titrate IV medications as ordered.
• Float to telemetry/medical-surgical units as needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies and patient safety standards.
