Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Operating Room RN with circulator experience for a 13-week day shift assignment in Oklahoma. The role includes shifts from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, 40 hours per week with call, and potential floating to like units with brief orientation.

Active OK or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 1 year of experience (2 years if no travel) are required; Epic charting and charge experience are preferred. Travel rates and facility details are provided to eligible travelers.

Description

American Traveler is seeking an Operating Room RN with circulator experience across multiple surgical specialties for a 13-week day shift assignment with call requirements.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM
• 40 hours per week plus call requirements
• Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided
• Surgical specialties include thoracic, general surgery, orthopedic, ortho/spine, and urology procedures
• Procedures include lobe/lung resection, thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reduction, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, and prostatectomy
• Uses cell saver equipment

Requirements

• Active OK or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years of circulator experience needed if no prior travel experience
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in emergency management and fire safety protocols
• Proficient in administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (time out) procedures, and wound management

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of circulator experience
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Former staff members must have separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• RTO must be submitted at time of application, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation

Pay

• Pay rate: $2,166/wk (estimated weekly pay range $1,949 - $2,166; higher end)
• Assignment Total (13 Weeks): $28,158
• Annual Equivalent (52 Weeks): $112,632
• Weekly Wages: $920 (Regular Hours $23.00 x 40 hours/wk)
• Weekly Stipends: $1,246
• Lodging: $110.00 x 7 days = $770
• Meals & Incidentals: $68.00 x 7 days = $476

In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $1,949 - $2,166. The $2,166 weekly pay listed in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range.
