American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room/Surgery role in Texas. Active TX or compact RN licensure and BLS are required. This full-time travel assignment is 13 weeks, with a 6:30 AM–3:00 PM shift and about one weekend of call per month.

Qualificações

• BLS certification required (AHA)
• 1 year of operating room nursing experience preferred

Responsabilidades

• Provide nursing care for surgical patients using the full nursing process
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Educate patients and families, addressing learning needs and resources
• Support OR team in shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM; involve a weekend call about once per month

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position requiring TX or compact RN licensure and BLS certification.

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or compact required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• 1 year of experience in operating room nursing specialty preferred
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Operating Room/Surgery department, Surg General unit
• Full-time schedule of 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
• Shift runs from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Call requirement of approximately one weekend per month, about 7 days monthly
• 13-week assignment
• Provide nursing care utilizing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for surgical patients
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Provide patient and family education, identifying learning needs and resources
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Candidates with prior non-travel employment at any CHRISTUS Health facility must have a 6-month separation before starting a travel assignment at this system
