Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced RN - Operating Room with circulator experience for spine, total joints, plastics, ENT, and DaVinci cases. This travel assignment is in California with day shifts and on-call requirements.
Applicants must hold a CA RN license, current AHA BLS, and recent EPIC/Cerner experience, plus travel nursing credentials. Interviews and credentialing will be coordinated by the recruiter.
Qualifications
- Active California RN license in hand at time of consideration (Temp or Perm)
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1.5 years of continuous experience in the OR specialty
- Minimum 1 year of total travel nursing experience
- Minimum 6 months of continuous travel experience with minimal pre-approved vacations
- EPIC or EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months
- 1 supervisory-level reference required
- Interview availability with specific days and time zones
Responsibilities
- Serve as circulating RN for spine, total joints, plastics, ENT and DaVinci cases
- Cover OR responsibilities with a mix of 3x12 hour days and on-call shifts
- Use EPIC EMR for documentation and workflow

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room with circulator experience in spine, total joints, plastics, ENT, and DaVinci procedures.
- Operating Room setting within a hospital
- Circulator role covering spine, total joints, plastics, ENT, and DaVinci robotic procedures
- Day shift schedule (3x12 Hours), 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
- Call required: two 5‑hour call shifts per week, plus two 12‑hour weekend call shifts every 8 weeks
- Uses EPIC EMR
- Active CA RN license in hand at time of consideration (Temp or Perm, no EMSA)
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1.5 years of continuous experience in the OR specialty
- Minimum 1 year of total travel nursing experience required
- Minimum 6 months of continuous travel experience immediately preceding consideration, with no gaps aside from minimal pre-approved vacations
- EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months
- 1 supervisory‑level reference required
- Valid copies of all required certifications must be provided, with no pending or expired certifications accepted
- Interview availability required, including specific days, times, and time zone
- Serve as circulating RN for a variety of surgical specialties including spine, total joints, plastics, ENT, and robotic (DaVinci) cases
- Float requirements may apply depending on facility needs; details to be discussed during interview
- Maximum 7 days of RTO permitted, with no additional RTO requests accepted after consideration
- No first‑time travelers considered for this position
- Returning staff and travelers must wait 1 year before reapplying to the same health system
- Extension policy allows up to 1 year, after which a 1‑year waiting period applies before returning
- International travelers must have at least 1 year of recent or current U.S. work experience
- Local candidates within 100 miles are not eligible, and candidates on assignment in San Diego for 9+ months are considered local and ineligible
- Only one position within the health system may be pursued at a time
