• Recent travel work experience highly preferred.
• Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to Operating Room specialty required for consideration.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required for consideration.
• LARA and/or Nursys verification confirming active Michigan license required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Assess surgical patient needs and develop individualized care plans before and during procedures.
• Implement, evaluate, and document patient care throughout surgical procedures while prioritizing safety.
• Provide leadership and supervision to the OR team, including anticipating schedule changes and coordinating room activities.
• Assemble equipment and supplies, assist anesthesia as needed, and monitor the sterile field.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, OR team members, and ancillary departments.
• Participate in staff development through preceptorship, in-services, and continuing education.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level 2 Trauma experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center hospital setting
• Operating Room unit supporting structural heart, stroke, spine, cancer, orthopedic, and women's health surgical care
• Utilizes robotic-assisted surgical technology
• Epic EMR used
• Afternoon shift, 12 hours, 11:00 AM-11:30 PM
• On-call requirement of one 12-hour call shift every week

Requirements

• Local candidates considered within a 50-mile radius restriction, limited to one 13-week contract
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted during the assignment
