Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a Surgery unit position requiring an active NV RN license and at least 2 years of surgery experience.

Details

• General Surgical Unit within a large hospital setting


• 4x10 schedule working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 0630-1700


• Call requirement of 4 days per month


• May be required to float to other departments based on competency level


• May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period


• Schedule can include weekends, holidays, and call shifts


• Epic EMR used for charting, with training provided during orientation or option to test out


• Level II Trauma Center with Stroke accreditation and 800 inpatient beds

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required prior to start


• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required


• Minimum of 2 years of Surgery experience required


• CMP bloodwork must be completed prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric surgical patients and their families


• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed


• Minimum of 2 major holidays required to be worked


• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted


• A minimum of one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year is required prior to consideration
