Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse – Operating Room in Colorado with at least 1 year of OR experience and an active CO or Compact RN license. BLS is required and must be valid; ACLS/NRP/PALS may be required depending on unit needs.

ASN is required, BSN preferred, and background checks including DOB and SSN last four digits are required for consideration. You will work in a hospital OR setting on three 12-hour day shifts per week, may float to other departments, and may be placed

Qualifications

• Active RN license – CO or Compact required
• BLS certification required and must not expire prior to start
• ACLS/NRP/PALS may be required depending on unit needs
• Minimum 1 year of OR specialty experience
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour day shifts per week
• May be required to float to other departments based on competency and business need
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for charting
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including health teaching and counseling
• Monitor and review therapy and treatment plans, documenting per hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Promote the organization's mission, vision, and service behavior standards
• Allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen results through a specific vendor
• Report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of assignment commitment
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
