Sentara Norfolk General Hospital seeks a Temporary Registered Nurse Traveler for the Critical Care Stepdown Unit - PVSU (Progressive Ventilator Stepdown Unit) in Norfolk, VA. This full-time 14-week night-shift assignment offers $70.00/hr with travel eligibility.

Education in nursing and a Virginia or compact license are required, plus BLS/ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale experience. Two or more years in inpatient acute care, including vent/trach experience, are needed.

Qualifications

• Education in nursing required (associates/bachelors/master's or diploma).
• Virginia or compact multi-state license in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIH Stroke Scale experience preferred/required.
• Two+ years of hospital inpatient acute care experience including vents/trachs.

Responsibilities

• Assess/admit patients and perform rounds checks.
• Administer medications and monitor patient status.
• Communicate with families and coordinate care.
• Ensure overall patient care quality and safety.

Education

Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field

Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
