Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an RN for an Obstetrics Acute unit on a 13-week travel assignment in California. Shift: Nights, 4x12hrs, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, with 36 or 48-hour options. Requires CA RN license and certifications (NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., FHM, BLS, ACLS).

Two years of acute care experience and BSN preferred. Local candidates accepted; travel details and benefits apply. Assignment starts ASAP with typical start dates 3–4 weeks from offer and includes lodging and meals

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.
• BLS certification required (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS).
• NRP certification required (AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS).
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required.
• ACLS certification required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS).
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required.
• Minimum two years of experience in specialty required.
• Recent experience in submitted specialty within the last three months required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
• Coordinate care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment.
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, healing care.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide health education to patients, families, and treatment team members.
