Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in San Leandro, California. This role focuses on postpartum and neonatal care, including EFM, IV therapy, and patient education, with night-shift scheduling on a 12-hour basis.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of recent L&D RN experience, valid CA RN license, BLS, ANRP, and proficiency in neonatal monitoring and safety protocols. Travel benefits and housing options apply.

Qualifications

• One year recent (within last 3 years) full-time RN experience in labor and delivery.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active RN license.
• Active BLS certification.
• ANRP certification or equivalent neonatal resuscitation training.
• Proficient in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).
• Demonstrated IV skills and ability to perform lab draws.
• Knowledge of high-risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin).
• Proficient in newborn heel sticks and venipuncture.
• Experience with neonatal monitors and capillary glucose testing.
• Familiar with IStat and neonatal medication administration.
• Experience with adult cardiac monitoring.
• Knowledge of Bili-blankets/lights and radiant warmers.
• Ability to support gynecological teaching and postpartum bladder training.
• Ability to support maternal-newborn teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide postpartum and neonatal nursing care in a healthcare facility.
• Support maternal and newborn teaching and counseling.
• Administer medications and monitor high-risk patients.
• Perform EFM, IV therapy, labs, and neonatal assessments.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety during night shifts.
