Job summary

Cross Country Nurses seeks a travel nurse RN in Labor and Delivery for a travel assignment in Clearlake, California. This role involves providing comprehensive maternity care from admission through postpartum and coordinating with an interdisciplinary care team.

The ideal candidate holds California RN licensure, BLS, and at least one year of L&D and nursery experience. ACLS and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification within six months are preferred; night shifts and 12-hour shifts are common.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/STABLE preferred.
• Minimum 1 year labor and delivery experience; nursery/postpartum experience preferred.
• Fetal Monitoring certification through AWHONN within 6 months of employment; recert every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care in the Women's Care Unit, supervising care activities and patient assessment.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patients' age, growth, and developmental stages.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and manage transfers.
