Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Aurora, Illinois. This travel assignment runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week and 12-hour nights, requiring BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Responsibilities include direct patient care in a fast-paced ED, coordination with physicians, and ensuring patient privacy. First-time travelers are considered; housing and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and current certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS) required.
• At least 1 year in acute care; ER experience preferred.
• CEN and BSN are preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a hospital ED during night shifts.
• Coordinate with physicians and nursing team for urgent care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in ED.
• Educate patients and families; ensure privacy and safety.
• Maintain EMTALA compliance and timely charting with physicians.
