American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Aurora, Illinois. This travel assignment runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week and 12-hour nights, requiring BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Responsibilities include direct patient care in a fast-paced ED, coordination with physicians, and ensuring patient privacy. First-time travelers are considered; housing and benefits are offered.

Qualificações

• Active RN license and current certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS) required.
• At least 1 year in acute care; ER experience preferred.
• CEN and BSN are preferred qualifications.

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shifts, 19:00-07:30
• 13-week contract assignment
• Direct patient care and coordination in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the Emergency Department
• Educates patients and families and supervises nursing personnel as necessary
• Responsible for accurate and timely communication with physicians about clinical changes
• Follows EMTALA regulations and mandatory reporting protocols
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality
• First time travelers will be considered for this role
• Scrubs or dress code will be specified prior to assignment
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers

Requirements

• Active and current state RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross required
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation required within 30 days of hire
• Minimum of one year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting; Emergency Room experience preferred
• Workplace Violence Prevention certification (DCI/BVP) required, can be completed online
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and BSN preferred
