Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department night shift in Kankakee, Illinois. The position requires an IL RN license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with a 12-hour night shift and 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum one year acute care hospital RN experience; ER preferred.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation skills required.
• ENPC certification preferred.
• CEN and BSN preferred.
• Workplace Violence Prevention training completed.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department in a hospital setting.
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
• Care for emergency and acute care patients.
• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changing patient conditions.
• Comply with EMTALA and privacy requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital social workers.
