Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool night shift in Prescott, AZ. The role requires ICU skills and an AZ or compact RN license. You will float across ICU, Med/Surg, Telemetry and PCU, covering both campuses and some ED holding as needed.

The position involves managing high-acuity cardiac cases, titrating drips, and ventilator care on 12-hour nights with a weekend rotation. AZ license and BLS/ACLS are essential.

Qualifications

• Active AZ or compact RN license is required at consideration time.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year in ICU.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Ability to interpret telemetry strips and care for complex cardiac patients.
• Ventilator and high-acuity drip management experience.
• Completion of a dysrhythmia exam with a minimum pass score.

Responsibilities

• Float across ICU, Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU units in a float pool.
• Cover both West and East campuses with ED holding as needed.
• Care for geriatric, orthopedic, post-cardiac and post-procedural patients.
• Titrate complex drips and monitor cardiac status.
• Operate ventilator support and CPAP/BiPAP equipment.
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff and adhere to hospital dress code.
