Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry assignment in Leonardtown, Maryland. Active MD or compact RN license and EKG rhythm interpretation skills are required, with 12-hour nights on a Med/Surg Tele unit and a 13-week contract.

This travel position pays about $1,948 per week (36 hours). Benefits include day-one medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, travel and licensure reimbursements, CEUs, per diem subsidies, and weekly payroll.

Qualifications

• Active MD or compact RN license required.
• Minimum of two years Med/Surg Tele experience required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms.
• Two supervisor references from the past two years required.

Responsibilities

• Night shift position (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30) on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient population includes large orthopedic cases (total joints), colorectal, vascular, and bariatric surgery patients
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required within the nurse's skillset
• Local candidates within 60 miles are considered
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Return staff must have a one-year gap from previous MedStar employment before returning as a traveler
• Online training modules must be completed prior to start and may require additional hours during orientation
• Holiday and every other weekend coverage are required
• All requested time off must be declared prior to submission and limited to 7 days during the 13-week contract, with no time off during the first two weeks
