Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for Med/Surg Tele in Kinston, NC. Night shifts are 12 hours, with demand for BLS and NIH Stroke certification. RN license must be active in NC or compact state; ACLS/CPI preferred. Work on a 42-bed Med/Surg Tele unit with EPIC charting and a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Position is travel employment for 13 weeks with weekly pay; per diem and stipends apply. No interview required. Must live >50 miles from facility.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke certifications in hand
• ACLS and CPI certifications preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Position is on a 42-bed Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Provides care for patients with ESRD, autoimmune and connective tissue disorders, pneumonia, chest pain, CHF, GI bleed, and diabetes
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:6
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00)
• Requires work every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Use of EPIC charting system
• Responsibilities include admission, treatment, and transfer of patients on the Med/Surg Tele unit
• Holiday time off requests are not allowed
• No interview required for this position
