Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a 13-week assignment in Washington, DC. You will deliver high-quality med‑surg and telemetry care, monitor cardiac data, and work with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include 1 year Med Surg/Tele RN experience, active RN license, and current BLS. Preferred NIHSS/ACLS. Travel perks include competitive pay and comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and document changes for care team.
• Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist physicians during treatments.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
• Document vital signs, medications, treatments, and outcomes in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers on care plans.
• Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs.
