Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry role in Texas. Requires 2+ years in med/surg and a TX compact license; telemetry experience is preferred. Housing and travel reimbursements provided as part of benefits.

Day shift, 3x12s from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with patient ratios of 1:5 days and 1:6 nights. Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; onsite housing available for travelers.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Med/surg and short stay unit experience required.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit of a hospital environment.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days and 1:6 at nights.
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU units.
• Meditech charting system experience preferred.
• Join a welcoming and collaborative care team in a newly built facility.
• Must work 3 of the 5 winter holidays.
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible, as local candidates are not accepted.
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level.
• Facility housing available.
