Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg/Tele RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Norton, VA. This role requires a year of Med Surg/Tele RN experience, current RN license, and BLS certification.

The RN delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, coordinating with physicians, therapists, and social workers to meet diverse patient needs. You'll work night shifts on a 12-hour schedule, with 36 hours per week and a travel employment type.

Qualifications

• Requires one year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, document changes, and report concerns to the care team.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist physicians during treatments.
• Monitor patients and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Document patient information in the medical record.
