Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele assignment. Requires MD or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele experience. Travel history and Relias EKG exam with high scores are required.

Night shift is 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 3x12 hours, with no weekends/holidays/on-call. Will float to MS and MS/Tele units; Cerner experience preferred. Flu vaccine required. Local candidates within 60 miles may receive a lower pay rate, per policy.

Qualifications

• Active MD or compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele experience
• Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment
• Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with 80%+ overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years
• Two supervisory references including one from the most recent assignment

Responsibilities

• MS/Tele unit functioning partly as an ED Boarder RN role
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
• Float to MS and MS/Tele units as needed
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Provide nursing care for boarding ED patients and Med/Surg Tele patients
• Flu vaccine required for all employees at this facility
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per 13-week contract
• Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Manager interviews are not guaranteed
