American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for Med/Surg Tele in Phoenix, AZ, for a 13-week night assignment. Active AZ or compact RN license and at least 2 years of RN experience are required.

The role features 12-hour nights (7p-7a) with weekend rotation, 36 hours per week, staffing with Cerner EMR, and support from RT/pharmacy 24/7. Residents within 50 miles preferred; no on-call.

Qualifications

• Active AZ or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• BSN not required for this position.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing a contract.
• Must pass a Sim Lab competency test on Day 1 of orientation.
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Care for post-surgical patients and telemetry med/surg cases.

• No dedicated IV team or ventilator management on this unit.
• RT and pharmacy support available 24/7.

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• Cares for post-surgical patients (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, etc.) alongside general med/surg telemetry cases
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) with weekend rotation required alongside core staff
• No dedicated IV team or ventilator management on this unit
• RT and pharmacy support available 24/7 (pharmacy remote after 6pm)
• Uses Cerner as the EMR system
• Floating required to a sister facility in Mesa as needed, with travelers first to float
• No on-call requirements

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to post-surgical and general med/surg patients
• Floor-specific orientation is 2 days
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating A/B schedule
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN directly with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
