Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float position with 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency. The role operates 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, with 36 hours per week across an 8-week assignment and every other weekend.

Travel eligibility, housing support, and preference for first-time travelers are noted. Requirements include an active NH or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and Epic EMR experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NH or Compact).
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Float Pool position within the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit.
• 12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• 36 hours per week over an 8-week assignment.
• Every other weekend required.
• Provide float coverage across Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed.
• No more than 3 days of RTO permitted, with no RTO approved during holidays.
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position.
• Returning employees must have a 6-month break from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility before reapplying.
• Pass/Fail Tele/ECG and Medication testing may be required.
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
