Job summary

Lambstaffing is seeking an experienced Med/Tele RN travel nurse for a 35-bed unit in Albemarle, NC. The assignment requires 18 months of Med/Surg/Tele RN experience, plus BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. You’ll care for general medical and surgical patients, including stroke and CHF, with RN:P ratio guidance and continuous telemetry monitoring.

Expect to float regionally as needed, with 24/7 hospitalist support and on-site resources. EPIC EMR, Omnicell dispensing, and Masimo monitoring are used on the unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months Med/Surg/Tele RN experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required (Resource Team).
• Current RN license for North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Provide med/surg nursing care for stroke, CHF, COPD and post-op patients.
• Perform post-op care, wound, drain and tube management as needed.
• Administer medications including cardiac drips and blood products.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor telemetry; respond to changes.
• Float within region per staffing needs and under scope of practice.
