Job summary

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a travel contract in Baltimore, MD. The role supports orthopedic and post-operative care in a hospital setting with 12-hour shifts and a 13-week length. Travel experience is encouraged.

The nurse will join surgical teams, manage complex cases, and may float as needed. Candidates require at least two years of RN experience, BLS, and prior travel assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience required.
• At least 1 travel assignment completed.
• OSH experience including peripheral nerve block catheters, total joint replacement, surgical drains.
• BLS certification required.
• Orthopedic experience and float nurse experience preferred.
• Flu vaccination required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for orthopedic and joint replacement patients.
• Manage patients with spinal surgery, orthopedic trauma, hand trauma, and fractures.
• Assist with surgical procedures and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and recovery.
• Support weekend coverage and float as needed, including orthopedic cases.
